Welcome to Live Oak School!
We’re delighted in your interest and are happy to make the process of exploring and applying as smooth as possible. The goal of the admission process at Live Oak School is to offer families numerous opportunities to get to know us - our mission, values, and educational approach - and for us to get to know your family and your student.
Registration for our on-campus and virtual events can be accessed on Ravenna. You can use the inquire button below to sign up to be on our mailing list. Детский сад

5 класс
This year, Live Oak School will have openings in the fifth grade. -
6 класс

Grades 1–4, 7 & 8
Applicants for first through fourth grades in our lower school, as well as for seventh and eighth grade in our middle school, are considered if space becomes available.

Attend an Event
Throughout the application process, Live Oak will host several on-campus and virtual events to provide you with opportunities to see our school and hear about why we do what we do. You can see the full calendar of events and details about registration via the Ravenna-HUB. -
Register for a Tour
Live Oak School will host hour-long small group tours throughout the fall this year. Our small group tours will be conducted Monday - Thursday, with availability in the morning and afternoon. These tours allow prospective families to see Live Oak School while it’s in session. Tours will be led by current families and/or a member of our admissions team. Please login to your Ravenna-HUB account to see our availability and to register. -

The standard application deadline for Live Oak School is January 5, 2023.The priority deadline for families with students currently enrolled at Live Oak School is October 27, 2023.
There is a $100 non-refundable application fee. Please contact admissions@liveoaksf.org if you need a fee waiver. -
Parent/Guardian Interview
A required component of the application process is a one-on-one meeting with a member of the admissions team. These 20-minute meetings will provide you with an opportunity to share your perspective on your student, discuss what you’re seeking in a school, and ask any questions you may have about Live Oak.
These meetings can be scheduled before or after you apply and, depending on availability, can be scheduled the same day you come to campus for a tour. We will also provide times for virtual meetings. Registration for the Parent/Guardian Conversation can be done on the Ravenna-HUB. -
Student Visit Day & Assessments
It is important to us to get to know your student and to get a sense of their personality and academic readiness for our program. During the assessment, applicants will perform various tasks and activities to help us learn more about them as prospective community members.
Applicants to grades 1-5, 7 & 8 will be invited to campus for half-day visits during the school day. These visits will allow applicants to those grades time to connect with their peers and to assess with one of our learning specialists.Applicants to kindergarten and sixth grade have specific dates available for their assessments, which will be posted in Ravenna.Registration for assessments and visit days is open to those who have completed an application. Registration dates will be available on Ravenna sometime in December. -

Live Oak School requires at least one recommendation from your student’s current teacher. If your student is not currently enrolled in school, you can submit a letter of recommendation from a non-family member who knows your student well. -
Transcripts (Applicants to Grades 1-8 Only)
Please have your student’s current school send us the transcripts from the previous two years. Transcripts can be uploaded to Ravenna or emailed to us (directly from the school) at admissions@liveoaksf.org. -

Decision
Admission decisions will be released on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at noon. Admitted families must respond to our offer of admission by Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
