Live Oak’s Day of Giving
Each year, the entire Live Oak community comes together to make a significant impact on the teaching and learning that takes place on Mariposa. We're excited to announce that Wednesday, November 20 marks Live Oak’s Day of Giving. This year, we're combining our Day of Giving with our Phone-A-Thon to amplify our efforts and reach our ambitious goal of $1 million for the Live Oak Fund. Read all about Day of Giving below.
What is the Day of Giving?
At Live Oak, students learn to be the problem solvers, creators, and changemakers our world needs. 🌎
This year on Live Oak’s first Day of Giving, we celebrate our changemakers and support our next generation of visionaries. Some would call this magic ✨ The Day of Giving allows us to harness the support of parents, alumni, grands, and friends in support of Live Oak. It's an opportunity to celebrate our community, showcase our Live Oak pride, and collectively contribute to the exceptional education we provide our students.
On November 20, please make your gift or pledge to The Live Oak Fund so we can reach our goal of 50% participation, 50% of the financial goal, and unlock a matching gift!

From 4:30-7pm, our amazing fundraising volunteers will be dialing for gifts during the Phone-A-Thon. Calls will go out to families who have not yet pledged to this year's Live Oak Fund. Your participation is crucial in helping us reach our goal and ensuring that Live Oak continues to offer outstanding programs and opportunities for our students.
Want to Skip the Call? Here's How:
Make your donation or pledge before November 20! For Day of Giving challenges, all donations made after November 12 will count. All donations count toward participation for this year’s Live Oak Fund. Thank you to families who have already pledged or made their gift–your leadership is invaluable!
- Donate online: You can make a one-time gift, set up a recurring donation, or see if your employer can match your donation.
- Submit a Pledge: Not ready to give today? Submit a pledge for the amount you plan to donate, and we'll mark your name off the call list. Payments on pledges are not due until June 15, 2025.
- Mail a check: Drop in the mail “Attn: Advancement Office” or leave at the Front Desk.
- Initiate a stock transfer: Email advancement@liveoaksf.org for instructions
Our Progress So Far
As of today, we've raised 30% of the goal from 30% of our current families and 100% of our trustees. We're grateful for this incredible support, but we still have a way to go to reach our $1 million goal.
Why Your Gift Matters
Gifts to the Live Oak Fund impact every aspect of our program and provide the "margin of excellence" for which Live Oak strives. Your contribution enhances our students' experiences by supporting programs, faculty development, and resources that make our school exceptional. Every gift, no matter the size, has a role in making the school year happening.
Your Participation Makes a Difference
Your participation by December 31 helps us allocate donations strategically this year and informs the budget for program investment opportunities next school year. Together, we can ensure that Live Oak continues to thrive and provide the best possible education for our students.
